> Types of Tours
SETI runs a variety of types of tours, including:

        1. Pilgrimage Tours : These tours are designed especially for church groups and
individuals who want to see the spiritual and Biblical sites of the Holy Land.
SETI’s pilgrimage tours are often tailored to fit the beliefs of a particular
denomination, and defer broadly to the leading pastor or minister, so that each
group can gain the most from its experience in the Holy Land. In addition, SETI
generally builds time into the schedule for church or communion services, worship,
and prayer at many of the sites.

        2. Alternative Tours : As new kind of tour, “alternative” tours focus on the
political history of Israel-Palestine, and cover current events and perspectives
on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. These tours offer a ”down and dirty” look at
every day life in the Middle East, and go far off traditional tour routes. Alternative
tours are excellent for students, educators, practitioners, and anyone else
interested in gaining a first-hand understanding about the turmoil in the Middle East.
SETI’s alternative tours are also unique in that they often involve NGO’s, politicians,
local educators, and religious leaders as guest guides or speakers.

          3. Educational Tours : SETI works with a number of universities and schools to provide
academic tours to Israel-Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt. These tours can be as short
as 5 days or as long as a semester, and are often acredited as part of a study abroad
or certificate program. Study tours can focus on a specific academic discipline, such
as Divinity, Political Science, Art, Archaeology, Government, Conflict Studies, or
Arabic / Hebrew language study, or a study tour can appeal to a broad range of
disciplines with an interdisciplinary focus. For departments and programs, these tours
also can provide a source of additional inclome.

          4. Business Seminars : SETI arranges many seminars in destinations such as Cairo,
Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Amman. Seminars often include day-trips to nearbye
tourist attractions, and serve to put your organization or business on the map.

          5. Retreats, Cruises, Safaris, and more! : Of course, most tours do not fit into one specific
category or another! SETI offers a variety of tours, including retreats, spa packages,
eco-tours, outdoor hiking or cycling tours, Jeep “Safaris”, camel caravan tours, Nile and
Mediterranean cruises, and more! Plus, if you have an idea for a tour and don’t see it
listed, we can make it happen! We work with hotels ranging from “backpacker hotels” to
luxury resorts, and can arrange travel on anything from a donkey or camel to a deluxe,
air-conditioned tour bus.
