> Educational Tours
SETI works with a number of universities and schools
to provide academic tours to Israel-Palestine, Jordan,
and Egypt. These tours can be as short as 5 days or as long
as a semester, and are often accredited as part of a study
abroad or certificate program. Study tours can focus on a specific
academic discipline, such as Divinity, Political Science, Art,
Archaeology, Government, Conflict Studies, or Arabic / Hebrew
language study, or a study tour can appeal to a broad range of disciplines with an interdisciplinary
focus. These tours also can provide a source of additional income for departments and programs.
Activities often featured in Educational Tours include:
- Tours of historical sites pertinent to modern or ancient history;
- Visits to the Israel Museum, Rockefeller Museum, Holocaust Museum, and others;
- Cooperational programs with partner schools, such as Al Quds University,
Bethlehem University, Ben Gurion University, (etc.); - Special lectures from local academics, archaeologists, or religious leaders;
- Arab and Hebrew cultural performances and music events;
- Camping with Bedouins or stays on a kibbutz;
- Home-stays with Israeli or Palestinian families;
